KALTIM.COM – The taxation strategy seminar on the utilization of Coretax, organized by the Provincial Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPP Apindo) East Kalimantan at Hotel Platinum Balikpapan on Friday, September 26, 2025, concluded successfully.

The seminar, opened by Chairman of DPP Apindo East Kalimantan, Dr. Abriantinus, SH, MA, was attended by 78 member companies of Apindo Kaltim along with several board members. The event ran from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time.

“The event went smoothly and was very successful, with participants showing great enthusiasm. In fact, even until the end, 100 percent of the participants remained in the room and seemed eager for more,” said Abriantinus.

Given the strong enthusiasm, Abriantinus noted that DPP Apindo Kaltim plans to hold a larger-scale event with longer sessions. “We intend to expand it into a taxation coaching program,” he explained.

The seminar featured two distinguished speakers from Jakarta: Henny E. Dondocambey, SE, CTC, AEPP, LDP, and Dr. Hence Bulu, SE, M.Th.

“The number of registrants was overwhelming, as the seminar was free of charge. The committee had to limit participants. However, due to the high enthusiasm, we are likely to hold another taxation coaching program in the near future,” Abriantinus added.

He further explained that both speakers are highly respected taxation experts. For example, Henny A. Dondocambey has built a 35-year career serving and working with more than 50 companies.

Aside from her extensive experience as a tax consultant, auditor, and planner, Henny is also a financial report analyst, management SOP developer, accountant, financial advisor, marketer, and tax legal representative. “She is also an insurance agent, inheritance law analyst, and certified tax attorney,” said Abriantinus.

Henny pursued her education at Sekolah Tinggi Keuangan Niaga & Negara (STIKEN) and holds certifications including Brevet A, B, and C, the IKH PP – Tax Court Legal Counsel License, Estate Planning Certification, and Legacy Design Professional Certification.

Welcomed with Many Questions

Meanwhile, Henny A. Dondocambey explained that Coretax is a new policy and regulation introduced by the Ministry of Finance and the Directorate General of Taxes (DJP), officially launching a modernized tax administration system.

According to the DJP’s official website, Coretax is designed to simplify and enhance taxpayer compliance by integrating key administrative processes, such as taxpayer registration, filing of annual tax returns (SPT), tax payments, audits, and collections.

The Coretax system is part of the Tax Administration Core System Renewal Project (PSIAP), as stipulated in Presidential Regulation No. 40/2018. It is built using Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) technology.

This integrated system enables more efficient tax administration nationwide. Coretax has already been introduced by DJP and is accessible online to taxpayers across Indonesia. DJP’s Director of Counseling, Services, and Public Relations, Dwi Astuti, stated that its pre-implementation phase took place between December 24–31, 2024.

After delivering her presentation, Henny fielded numerous questions from participants, including Apindo Kaltim board members. Most inquiries concerned the technical and administrative aspects of filing taxes using the new Coretax system.

By around 5:00 p.m., many participants remained engaged in discussions with the speakers. As a result, the Chairman of DPP Apindo Kaltim announced plans to organize further taxation coaching sessions soon, involving more members.

“We understand that Apindo Kaltim’s member companies need to be well-versed in the technical aspects of Coretax reporting—especially given the appointment of a new Finance Minister under President Prabowo Subianto. Therefore, entrepreneurs and companies in East Kalimantan, particularly Apindo members, must gain a deeper understanding of this new Coretax policy,” Abriantinus concluded.
