Unlocking the Keys to Competitiveness: APINDO Surakarta and JPayroll Drive Digital Transformation for “Next-Level” Businesses

SOLO — The pressures of the ASEAN free market demand that businesses continually innovate and improve efficiency to remain competitive in the global arena.

Responding to this challenge, the Regional Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) Surakarta took a strategic step by collaborating with JPayroll.

This partnership materialized through a seminar themed “Maintaining Competitiveness Toward Business Sustainability and Professionalism”, successfully held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Swiss-Belhotel Solo.

The event drew dozens of APINDO members from various business sectors, reflecting the strong interest of entrepreneurs in the issues of transformation and sustainability.

The seminar featured three distinguished speakers: Lucia Nany Lusida (Co-Founder & CEO of PT Cahaya Santosa Lestari), Fielien Kosasih (Associate Director of JPayroll), and Darwin Widjaja (Director of PT Intelegensia Mustaka Indonesia).

During the discussion, speakers emphasized that amid increasingly complex labor regulations, payroll systems today go far beyond calculating basic salaries.
They now include the computation of taxes, benefits, BPJS contributions, and overtime—all of which must comply with ever-evolving labor laws.

For medium to large-scale enterprises, especially those in manufacturing and outsourcing, manual payroll processing poses significant risks of errors and inefficiencies.

“With the use of this application, companies can clearly understand their real workforce needs, allowing efficiency to be implemented accurately to boost productivity,” said Sri Saptono Basuki, an APINDO Solo executive who also moderated the seminar.

Basuki stressed that the presence of technology—such as payroll software—should not be seen as a threat to workers, but rather as a vital tool to enhance value and strengthen a company’s competitiveness in the modern era.

Echoing this sentiment, Andry Kosasih, CEO of JPayroll, described digitalization as a concrete step for businesses to “move up the ladder.”

“Through digital transformation, companies no longer need to be burdened with administrative tasks. They can think more strategically and focus on growth,” Andry explained.

With reduced administrative workloads, business owners and management teams can redirect their focus toward product innovation, market expansion, and long-term strategic planning.

Andry also highlighted one critical aspect that often concerns business owners: data security.

JPayroll, he said, not only provides an efficient solution but also ensures robust data protection.

“We are ISO 27001 certified, which directly relates to our data security management system,” Andry stated.

To guarantee maximum protection, JPayroll also performs regular preventive measures.

“Every two years, we conduct a penetration test involving certified ethical hackers to ensure our system remains fully protected,” he added.

Through this collaborative seminar, APINDO Surakarta hopes business actors will gain a deeper awareness of the importance of digital transformation to stay competitive in the global market.
