Putussibau, June 9, 2026 – The West Kalimantan Provincial Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) successfully convened its 3rd Provincial Conference (MUSPROV III) on June 8–9, 2026, in Putussibau. As the highest decision-making forum at the provincial level, the conference successfully elected a new leader to steer APINDO West Kalimantan for the next five years, marking a new chapter in strengthening the employers’ organization across the province.
The event was attended by APINDO Vice Chairman Franky Sibarani, APINDO Chairman for Organizational Affairs Anthony Hilman, and APINDO Executive Director Rudolf Saut.
The implementation of MUSPROV III was carried out pursuant to the mandate of the National Board (DPN) of APINDO as stipulated in Decree No. 151/SK-DPN/1.1/2B/IV/26 concerning the Appointment of the Caretaker Board of APINDO West Kalimantan. All stages of the conference were conducted in accordance with APINDO’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART) as adopted at the 2022 Extraordinary National Congress, reflecting the organization’s commitment to professional, accountable, and rule-based governance.
As part of APINDO’s democratic organizational process, the organizing committee opened a transparent nomination process for prospective candidates for the Chairmanship of APINDO West Kalimantan from May 25 to 31, 2026. This process provided equal opportunities for all eligible active members to participate in the organization’s leadership and contribute to the advancement of the business community in West Kalimantan.
Through a legitimate deliberative process conducted in accordance with the conference’s rules of procedure, Edi Suhita was officially elected as Chairman of APINDO West Kalimantan for the 2026–2031 term. The appointment was confirmed during the Second Plenary Session of MUSPROV III and entrusts the new leadership with the responsibility of strengthening APINDO’s role as a strategic partner of government, the business sector, and all stakeholders involved in regional development.
MUSPROV III also demonstrated the organization’s strong legitimacy through the attendance and active participation of 10 Regency Boards (DPK) out of the 14 APINDO Regency Boards across West Kalimantan.
APINDO West Kalimantan acknowledges that organizational restructuring processes may involve differing views and dynamics. Nevertheless, all aspirations and concerns will be addressed constructively through dialogue, deliberation, and the spirit of solidarity that forms the foundation of the organization. The newly elected board is committed to embracing all elements of the business community in West Kalimantan in order to strengthen unity, uphold the organization’s integrity, and build a more cohesive and inclusive APINDO.
In line with the spirit of “United Entrepreneurs, Advanced Indonesia,” APINDO West Kalimantan calls upon all members and stakeholders to prioritize unity and collaboration in responding to increasingly dynamic economic challenges. The organization will continue to strengthen its role in fostering a healthy, competitive, and sustainable business environment.
With the conclusion of MUSPROV III, APINDO West Kalimantan reaffirms its commitment to working in synergy with regional governments, business actors, labor unions and workers, as well as other relevant stakeholders to encourage investment growth, strengthen the protection and empowerment of businesses including micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs)—and create broader employment opportunities in support of economic growth and the welfare of the people of West Kalimantan.
