APINDO Supports Dogiyai Government in Developing Culture-Based Tourism to Boost Local Economy

Dogiyai – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of Dogiyai Regency has expressed its full support for the Dogiyai Government’s initiative to develop culture-based tourism as a means to strengthen the local economy.

 

This statement was made by Melky Tebai, Chairperson of APINDO Dogiyai, during a one-day seminar titled “Exploring Tourism Potential Through Culture to Improve the People’s Economy of Dogiyai Regency” held at the RRI Nabire Hall, Central Papua, on Monday (November 3, 2025).

 

According to Melky, culture-based tourism holds great potential to create new business opportunities for local communities while reinforcing regional economic growth.

 

He emphasized that synergy between the government, business sector, and local communities is essential to achieve sustainable progress in Dogiyai.
“APINDO Dogiyai fully supports every government initiative to explore and develop local tourism and cultural potential,” Melky stated.

 

He further noted that cross-sector collaboration can stimulate the growth of local enterprises, create new job opportunities, and enhance community welfare.

As a strategic partner of the regional government, APINDO is committed to ensuring that policies remain supportive of both entrepreneurs and local residents.


“We are ready to mobilize the business community to take an active role in promoting tourism and the creative economy,” Melky affirmed.

 

Melky also highlighted the importance of promoting local cultural heritage as a valuable tourism asset with significant economic potential for Dogiyai.


“Yes, we are also prepared to serve as a bridge of collaboration between the government, business actors, and the community to build a more advanced, self-reliant, and prosperous Dogiyai,” he concluded.
