Ambon, October 23, 2026 — Shinta Widjaja Kamdani, Chairwoman of the National Leadership Council of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPN APINDO), officially inaugurated the APINDO Maluku Provincial Leadership Council (DPP APINDO Maluku) for the 2025–2030 term at Sari Gurih Beach, Ambon, on Friday (October 23, 2026). Roberth Tanamal has been reappointed to lead the provincial board.
The inauguration was also attended by APINDO Deputy Chairperson Eddy Hussy and Executive Director Rudolf Saut. Maluku Governor was represented by Maluku Provincial Secretary Sadali IE.
Held under the theme “Synergy and Collaboration Between the Business Community and Local Government for Equitable and Prosperous Economic Development in Maluku,” the event marked an opportunity to strengthen APINDO’s role as a strategic government partner in promoting investment, expanding employment opportunities, and enhancing the competitiveness of local businesses.
In her remarks, Shinta emphasized that Maluku has significant economic potential in marine and fisheries, plantations, and tourism. Realizing this potential, she said, requires greater value creation, stronger downstream processing industries, and expanded market access.
Shinta also urged the newly inaugurated APINDO Maluku leadership to strengthen organizational consolidation, expand membership across regencies and municipalities, and actively advocate for solutions to business constraints, including high logistics costs, licensing issues, and the need to strengthen local supply chains.
She stressed that investment must deliver tangible benefits to local communities, including by involving local businesses in supply chains, developing micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and creating productive employment opportunities.
The Maluku Provincial Government expressed its hope that APINDO would strengthen the business community’s contribution to attracting investment, generating employment, and fostering inclusive and sustainable regional economic growth. The message was conveyed in the governor’s written remarks, read by Maluku Provincial Secretary Sadali IE.
“APINDO plays a highly important and strategic role in regional development, particularly as a government partner in creating a productive business climate, encouraging increased investment, generating employment opportunities, and strengthening inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” Sadali said.
APINDO is expected to serve as a common platform for business owners to align their interests and strengthen cooperation. Its leadership was also encouraged to develop concrete programs focused on increasing investment, creating jobs, strengthening micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), developing processing industries, and expanding markets for Maluku’s flagship products.
Meanwhile, APINDO Maluku Chairperson Roberth Tanamal reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to serving as a strategic partner to the regional government in strengthening investment and promoting equitable and sustainable economic growth.
“APINDO Maluku is ready to serve as a strategic partner to the regional government in strengthening development and realizing economic growth across Maluku Province,” Roberth said.
