BALIKPAPAN – In an effort to strengthen collaboration, Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI), together with the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) of East Kalimantan and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Balikpapan, held a gathering themed “Tea Time with BRI, Apindo Kaltim, and Kadin Balikpapan” on Wednesday, October 15, 2025.
The event, held at the Sky Lounge of the Platinum Hotel, brought together dozens of entrepreneurs from various sectors, banking representatives, and local stakeholders.
Chairman of Apindo East Kalimantan, Dr. Abriantinus, S.H., M.A., emphasized that business growth often goes hand in hand with financial institutions.
“We hope this gathering will build stronger synergy between business players and banks, enabling entrepreneurs to expand their networks and collaborate in developing their enterprises — with continued support from the banking sector,” said Abriantinus.
Chairman of Kadin Balikpapan, Noval Asfihani, B.B.A., echoed this sentiment, affirming that entrepreneurs and financial institutions must work as one in supporting community-based economic growth.
From the banking perspective, Novian Supriatno, Regional Chief Executive Officer (RCEO) of BRI Banjarmasin, welcomed the partnership enthusiastically. He noted that BRI has undergone significant transformation — evolving beyond its traditional role of providing loans to also focus on savings and current account transactions that help drive regional economic growth.
“BRI is committed to continuously supporting the business sector to grow and move up the value chain. Through various financing products and digital banking services, we aim to provide broader, easier, and faster access for entrepreneurs,” Novian explained.
The event also featured a podcast session involving BRI, Apindo, and Kadin, where participants exchanged ideas and feedback on revitalizing the local economy and optimizing digital banking transactions as tools for corporate business operations.
The gathering concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Apindo East Kalimantan, Kadin Balikpapan, and BRI. The MoU aims to stimulate economic growth, with BRI pledging to provide easier access to credit and other banking services to support businesses.
