APINDO DIY Rakerkonprov 2025: Strong MSMEs, Greater Yogyakarta
Thursday, 08 May 2025
Yogyakarta, May 8, 2025 – The Provincial Working Meeting and Consultation (Rakerkonprov) of the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta officially took place at the Greenhost Boutique Hotel Prawirotaman, carrying the theme “Strong MSMEs – Greater Yogyakarta.” This annual forum serves as a vital platform for consolidating business organizations across the province to formulate the 2025 program, strengthen coordination among regional boards (DPK), and respond to increasingly complex economic challenges.
Anthony Hilman, Head of Organizational Affairs at APINDO’s National Board (DPN), emphasized that Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are the backbone of the national economy, yet remain the most vulnerable to global disruptions. Through the spirit of Indonesia Incorporated, APINDO calls for stronger synergy among business actors, government, and civil society to develop sustainable solutions and enhance local competitiveness, particularly in education, the creative industry, and tourism-driven trade, which are key sectors in Yogyakarta.
Meanwhile, Buntoro, Chairman of APINDO DIY, announced that his board had proposed the establishment of an MSME center to the Sleman Regency Government. This initiative aims to create market opportunities for MSME players while countering the growing influx of Chinese products in local markets. “We met with the Sleman government to request the establishment of an MSME market and center to ensure smooth business transactions,” he stated during his address to Rakerkonprov participants on Thursday (May 8, 2025).
The Rakerkonprov agenda was carried out in a structured manner, beginning with an official opening, symbolic aid handovers, an annual report presentation, and followed by plenary sessions and commission meetings. The discussions were organized into three main commissions: Organization, Work Program, and Recommendations. These sessions addressed issues such as membership data updates, training and partnership initiatives, and advocacy for MSME-friendly policies.
The forum concluded with a renewed collective commitment to create APINDO DIY an inclusive, responsive, and solution-oriented organization. Through adaptive governance and practical programs, Rakerkonprov 2025 is expected to help drive equitable and sustainable regional economic growth.
