DPP APINDO Yogyakarta Successfully Holds 11th Provincial Conference, Strengthening a Friendly and Sustainable Investment Ecosystem

Sleman, July 23, 2026 – The Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) successfully convened its 11th Provincial Conference (Musprov) 2026 at The Rich Jogja Hotel, Sleman.

Carrying the theme “Building a Friendly and Sustainable Investment Ecosystem,” the organization’s highest-level forum at the provincial level served as an important momentum to evaluate organizational performance over the past five years while formulating APINDO DIY’s policy direction and strategic priorities in responding to the evolving dynamics of the national and global economy.

Representing the Chairman of the National Executive Board (DPN) of APINDO, DPN APINDO Head of Organization Affairs Anthony Hilman emphasized that the Special Region of Yogyakarta holds a strategic position as a center of education, creativity, and innovation, with the potential to become one of the driving forces of national economic growth. According to Anthony, these achievements need to be further strengthened through closer collaboration between the business community and the government.

“In 2026, APINDO is implementing a number of strategic programs, ranging from policy advocacy through the Debottlenecking Channel to address various barriers faced by businesses, to strengthening the APINDO Investment Unit as an instrument for promoting investment at the regional level. We must also uphold the philosophy of Hamemayu Hayuning Bawana, which calls for maintaining harmony and delivering tangible benefits for the advancement of the people of the Special Region of Yogyakarta,” he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of DPP APINDO DIY for the 2021–2026 term, Buntoro, reflected on his leadership journey spanning three terms since 2011. He expressed his appreciation for the support of APINDO members and the strong synergy established with the regional government and various stakeholders in creating an increasingly conducive business climate.

“This Provincial Conference serves as a forum to accommodate the aspirations of the business community and advance a fair and inclusive investment climate. Going forward, our focus is to develop disruptive manufacturing industries with high added value, while encouraging micro-enterprises to scale up through the establishment of an MSME Center that can help ensure their business sustainability,” he said.

Representing the Government of the Special Region of Yogyakarta, Head of the DIY Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, Agung Yulianto, S.IP., M.Si., emphasized APINDO’s strategic role as a government partner in conveying the aspirations and challenges faced by the business community, while also playing an important role in formulating policy solutions that support sustainable economic growth.

“APINDO is a critical and constructive partner for the government. We hope that the leadership regeneration resulting from this Provincial Conference will produce work programs that are adaptive to the challenges of the times, including strengthening competency certification and vocational training, as well as encouraging MSMEs to become more integrated into industrial supply chains so that their contribution to the regional economy continues to grow,” he said.

In addition to serving as a forum for organizational accountability through the approval of the Accountability Report of the 2021–2026 leadership, the 11th Provincial Conference also discussed the organization’s work program for the next five years through organizational and work-program commission sessions, as well as electing the new leadership.
