Dadang Kuswandi Officially Takes the Helm of APINDO Sukabumi City, Pledges to Improve Business Climate and Support MSMEs

SUKABUMI, WEST JAVA — The Sukabumi City Conference of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) was held on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, with Dadang Kuswandi appointed Chairman of APINDO Sukabumi City for the 2026–2031 term.

Dadang was appointed after running as the sole candidate in the conference, succeeding Ashady Sugiarto, who led the organization during the previous term.

The West Java Provincial Board of APINDO (DPP APINDO Jawa Barat) formally inaugurated Dadang and the newly appointed APINDO Sukabumi City management team. Andris M., Head of Organizational Affairs at APINDO West Java, expressed hope that the new leadership would strengthen organizational unity and solidarity while remaining responsive to developments in the business environment.

"Through this conference, we hope the future leadership of APINDO Sukabumi City will become more united, professional, and adaptable, while delivering tangible benefits to all its members," Andris said on Wednesday, October 14, 2026.

He noted that businesses would face various challenges in the coming years, ranging from local political dynamics and industrial relations issues to government policies that could affect companies' operating conditions. He stressed that these challenges required collective attention, particularly through stronger cooperation between the government and business community to safeguard the investment climate and foster harmonious industrial relations.

"Synergy between employers and the government is essential. The government is expected to act as a fair mediator, ensuring that policies do not place excessive burdens on businesses while maintaining a conducive investment climate," he added.

From an organizational perspective, Andris emphasized the importance of active member participation in driving APINDO's activities and ensuring the sustainability of businesses in Sukabumi City.

"We hope the new leadership will strengthen the organization, increase member engagement, and establish APINDO as a platform for safeguarding and advancing employers' interests," he said.

Meanwhile, Dadang Kuswandi stated that APINDO Sukabumi City would serve as a platform for business owners to voice their concerns, advocate for the interests of the business community, and seek solutions to the challenges they face.

He emphasized that business development must go hand in hand with improvements in workers' welfare through fair industrial relations. Employers and workers, he said, share a mutually beneficial relationship that is essential to the progress of Sukabumi City.

"Business growth must go hand in hand with improvements in workers' welfare. Employers and workers depend on one another. Therefore, we must build harmonious industrial relations that respect workers' rights while safeguarding business sustainability," Dadang said.

Beyond employment and industrial relations issues, APINDO Sukabumi City will also strengthen its commitment to micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), recognizing their important role in driving the regional economy and creating jobs.

"We also want to help MSMEs grow, become more competitive, expand their market access, and gain partnership opportunities with larger businesses," he said.

Dadang expressed hope that stronger collaboration among employers, MSMEs, and the local government would create a conducive business environment and accelerate regional economic growth.

"Our principle is that businesses must grow, workers must prosper, and MSMEs must become stronger. These three elements must advance together so that economic growth truly benefits the people of Sukabumi City," he concluded.
