APINDO Yogyakarta City Champions Business Revolution

APINDO Yogyakarta City Champions Business Revolution

YOGYAKARTA – The city of Gudeg is preparing to enter a new chapter in its business landscape. Following the inauguration of its new leadership at the 11th Provincial Conference of APINDO Yogyakarta, the Yogyakarta City Leadership Council (DPK APINDO) has moved swiftly to advance an agenda focused on fostering business harmony while accelerating the digitalization of the local business ecosystem.

Chairman of DPK APINDO Yogyakarta City, Nur Hidayat, emphasized that the new leadership would not merely serve as an association for businesspeople, but would act as a driving force for regional economic transformation.

“We want APINDO to become a home for practical solutions, rather than simply a place for businesspeople to gather. Our focus is on creating a balance between business interests and community welfare,” he said on Thursday (July 23, 2026), on the sidelines of the inauguration ceremony.

Strategic Initiatives Underway

An integrated platform to strengthen the tourism and creative economy ecosystem.

Stronger collaboration between MSMEs and startups through the “gandeng-gendong” concept, connecting young entrepreneurs with established business leaders.

Digital transformation through the appointment of dedicated representatives with expertise in technology.

Vocational training and apprenticeship programs aimed at developing a job-ready workforce.

Yogyakarta’s young talent is also a key focus. An estimated 4,000 IT freelancers are expected to be brought into a startup development platform, further strengthening Yogyakarta’s position as a hub for the creative and technology industries.

“We recognize that the challenges facing the business community are becoming increasingly complex, from global competition to the need to adapt to technological advances. That is why APINDO Yogyakarta is positioning itself as a strategic partner for businesses and the local government in promoting inclusive and equitable economic growth,” Nur Hidayat added.

Going forward, APINDO Yogyakarta City is committed to creating greater opportunities for intensive dialogue with local government authorities, providing capacity-building programs, facilitating business partnerships, and offering licensing and regulatory advocacy services.

Through these initiatives, APINDO Yogyakarta City is positioning itself as a catalyst for change, ready to propel Yogyakarta’s business community into a new era one defined by industrial harmony and digital transformation.
