APINDO Central Sulawesi Pushes FDI, Prepares First Business Agricultural Trip in 2026

APINDO Central Sulawesi Pushes FDI, Prepares First Business Agricultural Trip in 2026

The Central Sulawesi Provincial Board of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPP APINDO Sulteng) is intensifying efforts to attract investment, particularly Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), following a strategic meeting with the National Board (DPN APINDO) at the organization’s headquarters on Thursday, March 12, 2026.

The meeting explored investment opportunities across a range of priority sectors in Central Sulawesi, including agriculture, fisheries, plantations, automotive, and technology. Head of Investment for Domestic and Foreign Investment (PMDN and PMA) at DPP APINDO Sulteng, Ricky Tjui, stated that the engagement forms part of a broader initiative to strengthen collaboration between regional and national business actors in attracting investors.

“This meeting highlighted various FDI opportunities in Central Sulawesi, particularly in key sectors such as agriculture, fisheries, plantations, and technology,” Ricky said.

One of the key initiatives discussed—and positively received by DPN APINDO—is the planned Business Agricultural Trip, a business visitation program focused on the agricultural sector. Initiated by Ricky Tjui, the program is designed to connect potential investors directly with agricultural opportunities in Central Sulawesi.

The Business Agricultural Trip is targeted to take place between July and August 2026 and is expected to serve as a platform to showcase the region’s agribusiness potential while fostering investment partnerships.

“We expect this initiative to open up concrete investment opportunities, particularly in agriculture, which remains one of Central Sulawesi’s most promising sectors,” he added.

Also present at the meeting were members of the DPP APINDO Central Sulawesi investment team, including Arafah Sinjar, Special Staff for International Affairs in Investment, and Dedi Elmoechtar Bedolo, Special Staff for Inter-Bureaucratic Investment Liaison.

Through continued coordination with DPN APINDO, the organization aims to ensure that investment development in Central Sulawesi becomes more structured, targeted, and capable of delivering tangible economic benefits for the region.
