Monday, 10 November 2025
MAKASSAR – The Regional Secretary of South Sulawesi Province (Sulsel), Jufri Rahman, officially opened the 2025 Provincial Consultation and Working Meeting (Rakerkonprov) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) South Sulawesi, held at Claro Hotel Makassar on Monday, November 10, 2025.
Carrying the theme “The Role of the Industrial Sector in Promoting Sustainable Development and Increasing Employment in South Sulawesi,” the event underscored APINDO’s position as a strategic partner of the government in fostering an enabling business environment and creating job opportunities in the region.
Jufri emphasized that Rakerkonprov is not merely an annual meeting but a strategic forum to align policy directions, evaluate progress, and formulate joint strategies to advance the business sector in South Sulawesi.
“We all recognize that global and national economic dynamics continue to present challenges — from commodity price fluctuations and technological disruptions to labor market issues that demand rapid adaptation,” said Jufri, as he officially inaugurated the event.
He further reaffirmed the provincial government’s full commitment to building a conducive, transparent, and competitive investment climate. This commitment is reflected in Government Regulation (PP) No. 7 of 2021 on the Ease, Protection, and Empowerment of Cooperatives and MSMEs, and PP No. 28 of 2025 on Risk-Based Licensing Implementation.
Through these regulations, the government ensures ease of doing business and legal certainty for investors, supported by a more efficient online licensing system. The South Sulawesi Provincial Government is also continuously improving infrastructure and connectivity to sustain long-term investment growth.
“This Rakerkonprov is expected to accelerate the achievement of our priority programs. We hope for everyone’s support and prayers so that the development agenda we are pursuing can be successfully realized,” Jufri added.
The event was attended by APINDO National Secretary-General Alloysius Budi Santoso, Chairman of APINDO South Sulawesi Suhardi, Deputy Speaker of the South Sulawesi Provincial Parliament Yasir Machmud, representatives of Forkompinda, company directors, and business leaders.
