National Board of APINDO Inaugurated the Provincial Board of APINDO Central Sulawesi for the 2025–2030 Term

Palu, May 6, 2025 – Chairman of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO), Shinta Kamdani, officially inaugurated the Provincial Board (DPP) of APINDO Central Sulawesi at the Rama Hotel, Palu, on Monday (06/05).
In her opening remarks, Shinta emphasized the importance of strengthening regional roles in the broader context of national economic transformation.
“Indonesia's future economic landscape is fraught with complex challenges, particularly amidst ongoing global uncertainty. In response, APINDO is prioritizing an inclusive and sustainable economic transformation agenda, with a strong focus on industrial development, downstreaming, and the strategic utilization of regional economic potential,” she mentioned.
Shinta noted that despite Central Sulawesi’s impressive economic surge in mining and downstreaming regions such as Morowali and North Morowali, the growth has yet to yield equitable benefits across the province.
“Behind the impressive economic performance in mining and downstream areas lies a concerning disparity: the province's poverty rate remains stubbornly high at 11%, well above the national average of 7% as of 2024,” she added.
“APINDO carries a mandate and responsibility to translate the Indonesia Incorporated movement into real action. As stakeholders of Indonesia, the business community has a vested interest in ensuring that enterprises are both profitable and sustainable,” she concluded.
The inauguration was also attended by the Vice Governor of Central Sulawesi, Reny Lamadjido. “On behalf of the Provincial Government of Central Sulawesi, we extend our congratulations and appreciation to the newly appointed members of the APINDO Central Sulawesi Regional Board. We hope they carry out their mandate with integrity and make a broad contribution to the community,” she stated.
The provincial congress was also attended by APINDO’s Head of Organizational Affairs, Anthony Hilman; APINDO Executive Director, Rudolf Saut; representatives from six municipal and regency branches (DPK) across Central Sulawesi; and business actors from various sectors throughout the province.
