LKAKI and APINDO South Kalimantan Strengthen Synergy in Employment Advocacy

SOUTH KALIMANTAN – The Indonesian Employment Consultation and Advocacy Institute (LKAKI) of South Kalimantan held a meeting with the Regional Executive Board (DPD) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) South Kalimantan in Banjarmasin on Wednesday (August 12, 2026).
The meeting was led by LKAKI South Kalimantan Chairman H. Siswansyah, S.H., M.Si., M.H., accompanied by two staff members. They were welcomed by APINDO South Kalimantan Chairman Winardi Setyono, Deputy Chairman for Organizational Affairs Noorhalis Majid, and Deputy Chairman for Employment Affairs Dr. H. IBG Dharma Putra, M.K.M.
Siswansyah said the meeting marked an initial step toward establishing closer cooperation between LKAKI and APINDO South Kalimantan, particularly in facilitating legal assistance and providing advocacy on various employment and industrial relations issues in the province.
“This meeting between LKAKI South Kalimantan and the Chairman and leadership of APINDO South Kalimantan is aimed at establishing cooperation in facilitating legal assistance and providing employment and labor advocacy in South Kalimantan,” Siswansyah said.
He explained that LKAKI seeks to work in synergy with APINDO South Kalimantan while helping provide solutions to various employment-related issues faced by both employers and workers.
Meanwhile, Winardi Setyono explained that APINDO South Kalimantan has played an active role in advocating for various issues faced by its members, ranging from business licensing to other challenges affecting their operations.
“APINDO is currently one of the organizations trusted by the government in matters related to wage policy and the tripartite mechanism. We also provide advocacy support to several MSMEs, including Mama Khas Banjar,” Winardi said.
He expressed hope that the partnership with LKAKI would further strengthen assistance and advocacy for the business community while contributing to the creation of harmonious and conducive industrial relations in South Kalimantan.
The meeting is expected to serve as the starting point for more concrete cooperation in providing consultation, assistance, and legal advocacy on various employment and industrial relations issues in the region.
