DENPASAR, July 17, 2026 – The Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) Bali held the 2026 APINDO Bali Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting (Rakerkonprov) at Quest San Hotel Denpasar on Friday (July 17). Under the theme “Employer–Worker Synergy: The Foundation for Adaptive Employment Relations, High Productivity, and Shared Prosperity,” the forum served as an important momentum to strengthen collaboration among the business community, workers, and government in building harmonious, adaptive, and sustainable industrial relations.
APINDO Chairman Shinta W. Kamdani emphasized that Bali represents an example of a region capable of maintaining a balance between economic growth and the preservation of cultural values. According to her, national productivity can only be enhanced when harmonious industrial relations are supported by a conducive business climate.
“High productivity can only be achieved when harmonious relations between workers and the business community go hand in hand with the creation of a conducive business climate. These two elements are not alternatives, but mutually reinforcing prerequisites for strengthening national competitiveness while improving workers’ welfare,” she said.
As part of this commitment, APINDO continues to implement various strategic programs throughout 2026, including advocating for improvements to employment regulations through the Employment Bill, establishing a Debottlenecking Task Force to address various barriers faced by businesses, and promoting the development of a green economy by optimizing Bali’s solar energy potential, which is estimated at 21.56 GW.
Amid these efforts, Bali has a strong economic foundation. The tourism sector remains a key driver of the regional economy, with the accommodation and food and beverage sector contributing 22.27 percent to Bali’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP).
Meanwhile, Chairman of DPP APINDO Bali I Nengah Nurlaba, S.H., emphasized that in an era of digital transformation and rapid developments in artificial intelligence (AI), corporate competitiveness is no longer determined solely by capital and technology, but also by the quality of industrial relations established within the workplace.
“Employer–worker synergy is the primary foundation for creating productive, competitive, and sustainable companies. No company can grow without quality workers. Conversely, sustainable worker welfare cannot be achieved without healthy and growing businesses,” he said.
Echoing this view, Head of the Bali Provincial Office of Manpower and Energy and Mineral Resources, Ida Bagus Setiawan, expressed his appreciation for APINDO as a strategic partner of the Bali Provincial Government in strengthening the employment and investment ecosystem. According to him, relations between employers and workers should be viewed as a mutually reinforcing partnership.
“Employers and workers are not two opposing sides, but two pillars that support one another. High productivity cannot be achieved without providing workers with a sense of security. This is where strong social security coverage through synergy with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan becomes essential,” he stressed.
The 2026 APINDO Bali Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting also featured remarks from Organizing Committee Chairman A. A. Kompiang Gede and Deputy Chairman of KADIN Bali I Gusti Made Palguna. The event was also attended by APINDO Deputy Chairman for Organizational Affairs Muliawan Margadana, BPJS Kesehatan Supervisory Board Member P. Agung Pambudi, APINDO Bali leadership, business representatives, and stakeholders in the employment sector.
