BP Batam and APINDO Kepri Discuss Investment Potentials and Challenges in Batam 2026

BATAM – The Batam Indonesia Free Zone Authority (BP Batam), through its Deputy for Investment and Business Development Fary Francis, received a visit from the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of Riau Islands Province at the BP Batam Marketing Centre on Friday (November 7, 2025).

The meeting served as a dialogue platform between BP Batam and business stakeholders to strengthen collaboration in creating a conducive investment climate.

During the discussion, Fary Francis reaffirmed BP Batam’s commitment to maintaining stability and legal certainty for investors — a key factor in addressing the evolving challenges of the business sector each year.

“As a concrete form of our service commitment, BP Batam has launched the Investment Dashboard, a program designed to provide fast response handling for investor complaints and inquiries,” Fary explained.

He added that BP Batam also conducts regular service satisfaction surveys to ensure that the quality of public services remains accountable and inclusive.

This effort has shown positive results, with investment performance continuing to improve through the third quarter of 2025. Supported by various policy stimuli, Batam’s total investment value reached IDR 54.7 trillion, marking a 25.58 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

“Currently, domestic investment (PMDN) remains the main driver of Batam’s economy, while foreign direct investment (FDI) continues to show steady growth. We hope BP Batam’s strategic steps will bring positive impacts to both investment growth and regional economic development,” Fary concluded.

Meanwhile, Stanly Rocky, Chairman of APINDO Riau Islands, expressed his appreciation for BP Batam’s consistent performance and strategic vision.

“Through dialogues like this, we believe BP Batam will continue to strengthen its position as a leading hub for Indonesia’s competitive economic growth,” Stanly said.
