Bandung Regency APINDO Commends Bandung Police for Preventing Intimidation Against Business Owners

Bandung – The Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) for Bandung Regency, Wilky Kurniawan, expressed appreciation to the Bandung Police Department (Polresta Bandung) for its ongoing commitment to ensuring sustainable public safety.

According to Wilky, the active presence and role of Polresta Bandung in maintaining security is crucial to supporting the growth and continuity of investments in Bandung Regency.

Polresta Bandung recently carried out another round of Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD) on Saturday night, May 10, 2025, starting at 9:00 PM local time. The operation is part of their broader effort to maintain public order and security (kamtibmas), while fostering a conducive investment climate in the region.

“During the KRYD, officers conducted mobile patrols across several strategic points, industrial areas, and business centers where public activity is concentrated, with the aim of preventing disturbances and ensuring a sense of safety for both the general public and business actors,” said Wilky Kurniawan.

Meanwhile, Bandung Police Chief Commissioner Aldi Subartono emphasized that his department is committed to providing a sense of security to all elements of society, including entrepreneurs and investors.

“We are here to give assurance to business players so they can operate safely and comfortably,” said Commissioner Aldi.

He noted that security is a vital foundation for economic and investment growth, and therefore, his team will continue to intensify patrols and security operations in sectors directly linked to business and investment activities.

“As a form of that commitment, in the past four months alone, Polresta Bandung has handled 179 cases, including two incidents of extortion and intimidation involving mass organizations,” Aldi stated. “This reflects our firm stance in addressing any threat that could disrupt the business and investment climate within our jurisdiction.”

The ongoing KRYD initiative is expected to maintain a stable and safe environment in Bandung Regency, while also demonstrating the solid synergy between law enforcement, local government, and the business community toward sustainable economic development.

In recognition of Polresta Bandung’s dedication to preventing criminal intimidation of entrepreneurs, APINDO Bandung Regency extended its formal appreciation.
