SUKABUMI – The business community’s commitment to social responsibility was once again demonstrated by the Sukabumi Regency Chapter of the Indonesian Employers Association (DPK APINDO Sukabumi). In collaboration with the Sukabumi Regency Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), DPK APINDO distributed humanitarian assistance to victims of floods and landslides that have affected several areas in Sumatra and West Java.
The handover of aid took place at the BPBD Sukabumi Regency Office in Cikembar on Friday (February 6, 2026). The assistance included essential supplies and health support items, such as blankets, instant noodles, multivitamins, medicines, and cash donations. The contributions were collectively provided by 10 member companies of APINDO Sukabumi Regency, with varying donation amounts according to each company’s capacity.
The Chairman of DPK APINDO Sukabumi Regency, Sudarno, SH, attended the event accompanied by Treasurer Ahmad Maulana and Vice Chairman Aswin Andrian. The aid was symbolically received by the Head of BPBD Sukabumi Regency, Eki Radiana Rizki.
Sudarno stated that channeling the assistance through BPBD aims to ensure effective and targeted distribution, in accordance with the priority needs of disaster victims on the ground. “We hope this assistance can help ease the burden of our brothers and sisters affected by the disaster. By coordinating distribution through BPBD, we believe the aid will reach those who need it most,” he said.
In addition, DPK APINDO Sukabumi Regency expressed prayers and hopes that the natural disasters occurring in various regions will soon subside, and that recovery efforts for victims, public facilities, and road access can proceed smoothly so that community activities and economic operations may quickly return to normal.
On the same occasion, DPK APINDO extended its appreciation to member entrepreneurs who contributed to the initiative and encouraged other business leaders and company executives, particularly in Sukabumi Regency, to participate in the humanitarian effort. “Regardless of the amount, any contribution will be meaningful and beneficial for disaster-affected communities. We hope more parties will be moved to share and support,” he added.
This aid distribution serves as tangible evidence that collaboration between the business sector and local government plays a vital role in supporting communities facing the impact of natural disasters.
