APINDO South Sumatra Strengthens Organizational Consolidation, Zewwy Salim: Strong Organization, Tangible Contributions to the Business Community

PALEMBANG – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of South Sumatra continues to strengthen organizational cohesion and synergy among business leaders through a Consolidation Meeting and Fellowship Gathering. The event served as a strategic opportunity to strengthen solidarity, evaluate ongoing programs, and discuss various challenges facing businesses and employment in South Sumatra.

Carrying the theme “Strengthening Togetherness, Building Synergy, Creating Opportunities,” the event was attended by APINDO South Sumatra leaders, including members of the executive board and various organizational divisions.

Chairman of APINDO South Sumatra Zewwy Salim (Awi) said consolidation is essential to ensure that all members of the organization share a common understanding and a unified approach in carrying out the organization’s programs.

“APINDO is holding this consolidation meeting and leadership gathering as an opportunity to strengthen internal coordination, evaluate ongoing programs, and discuss various issues and challenges facing the business community, particularly those related to business and employment in South Sumatra,” Zewwy said.

He said APINDO aims to continue developing as an active, relevant organization that delivers tangible benefits to its members. Accordingly, strengthening collaboration among entrepreneurs remains one of its key priorities in building a stronger business ecosystem.

“The main objective is to align the perspectives and actions of all organizational leaders. We want APINDO to become more solid, responsive to the challenges facing businesses, and capable of serving as a strategic partner to the government in promoting economic growth and creating a conducive business climate,” he explained.

He added that APINDO South Sumatra is also promoting stronger business networks, business matching, business support, knowledge sharing, and access to collaboration with various strategic stakeholders.

“Every APINDO program must deliver real benefits to its members and the broader business community. We want this organization to become a common home for businesses—a place where entrepreneurs can collaborate, exchange ideas, and discover new opportunities,” he said.

As part of this vision, APINDO South Sumatra is advancing several strategic programs, including strengthening industrial relations and employment, empowering and digitalizing MSMEs, supporting green investment and local commodities, fostering young entrepreneurship, and strengthening social security protection for businesses and workers.

Zewwy expressed hope that the outcomes of the consolidation meeting would further strengthen unity among the organization’s leadership and help APINDO become more professional and responsive to developments in the business environment.

“APINDO must be present not only when problems arise, but also proactively contribute ideas and solutions. We want to build an APINDO that is stronger, more cohesive, and more professional, so that it can serve as an effective bridge between the business community, government, workers, and all stakeholders,” he stressed.

He emphasized that this spirit forms part of APINDO South Sumatra’s broader efforts to contribute to regional economic growth and create sustainable business opportunities.

“In essence, we want APINDO South Sumatra to have a stronger and more cohesive organization, greater capacity to advocate for the business community, and a more tangible contribution to the advancement of businesses and the South Sumatran economy,” Zewwy concluded.

The commitment is aligned with APINDO South Sumatra’s core value of integrity and its organizational motto, “One Goal, One Spirit, One APINDO South Sumatra!”, reinforced by the tagline: “Together with APINDO, We Are Strong, Businesses Grow, Indonesia Thrives!”
