APINDO Banten 2026 Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting and CEO Gathering Discuss Strategies to Strengthen Industrial Competitiveness Amid Global Economic Uncertainty

TANGERANG REGENCY, July 2, 2026 – The Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) Banten held its 2026 Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting (Rakerkonprov), combined with a CEO Gathering & Economic Outlook with Banten Governor Andra Soni, at the Pre Hall of PT Adis Dimension Footwear, Tangerang Regency.

The event carried the theme “Strengthening the Industrial Competitiveness of Banten Province through Synergy in Investment, Human Resources, and Sustainable Transformation Amid Global Economic Uncertainty.” It was attended by Banten Governor Andra Soni and members of the Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda), industrial estate executives, CEOs of national and multinational companies, as well as the DPP APINDO Banten leadership and representatives of all eight APINDO Regency/City Executive Boards (DPK) across Banten.

APINDO Chairman Shinta W. Kamdani emphasized that the Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting serves as a strategic forum for aligning the organization’s direction while strengthening collaboration between the government and business community in responding to growing global economic uncertainty.

According to Shinta, escalating geopolitical conflicts, rising global energy prices, increasing logistics costs, exchange-rate volatility, and high financing costs have placed significant pressure on the real sector and investment activity. Nevertheless, she said, the success of economic development should not be measured solely by economic growth, but also by the ability to create quality employment opportunities.

“Industrial competitiveness is ultimately measured by its ability to create jobs, increase productivity, and deliver prosperity for society,” Shinta stressed. She was accompanied by APINDO Deputy Chairman for Employment Affairs Darwoto, along with DPN APINDO executives Lispiyatmini and Wikan Sakarinto.

Meanwhile, Chairman of DPP APINDO Banten Tommy Rahmatullah emphasized that the highly uncertain global economic environment requires businesses not only to survive, but also to continuously strengthen their competitiveness through closer collaboration.

“Only through collaboration among the government, business community, workers, academia, and all stakeholders can we maintain a healthy, broad-based, and conducive business climate that supports economic growth,” he said.

On the same occasion, Banten Governor Andra Soni said the Banten Provincial Government understands the various challenges currently facing businesses, including mounting global economic pressures that could affect industrial sustainability and employment absorption.

He expressed optimism that Banten’s economic prospects would continue to improve. This optimism is reflected in the projected Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Banten Province, which is expected to soon surpass Rp1,000 trillion, underscoring the region’s significant economic potential if managed effectively.

“The Banten Provincial Government is committed to creating an investment climate that is safe, welcoming, conducive, and competitive, providing investors with certainty in conducting their business,” Andra Soni said.

Following the opening of the Provincial Working and Consultation Meeting, the event continued with the CEO Gathering & Economic Outlook 2026, featuring presentations on global economic conditions, the outlook for national investment, and a panel discussion.
