West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi Attends the Inauguration of APINDO West Java’s 2026–2031 Board, Emphasizes Collaboration and Sustainable Industrial Development

BANDUNG, June 26, 2026 – West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi attended the inauguration ceremony of the 2026–2031 Board of the West Java Provincial Chapter of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), held at eL Hotel Bandung. The event marked the beginning of Ning Wahyu Astutik’s second term as Chairwoman of APINDO West Java.

In her remarks, Shinta W. Kamdani, Chairwoman of APINDO’s National Board (DPN APINDO), highlighted West Java’s strategic position as one of Indonesia’s key economic drivers. She presented data showing that West Java recorded investment realization of approximately Rp296 trillion in 2025, the highest among all provinces in Indonesia, while exports reached US$38 billion.

Shinta also introduced several new strategic initiatives designed to support businesses across the regions.

“Progress is never achieved through the efforts of a single party. It is realized when all stakeholders move forward together and strengthen one another. Through the spirit of Sabilulungan and the values of Silih Asah, Silih Asih, Silih Asuh, we can demonstrate that West Java is capable of making an even greater contribution to Indonesia’s economic resilience and future prosperity,” said Shinta W. Kamdani.

Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that sustainable economic growth in West Java must be supported by adequate infrastructure and effective connectivity to reduce logistics costs and enhance industrial competitiveness. He also underscored the importance of maintaining a balance between industrial development and environmental sustainability.

“Economic development must not come at the expense of the environment. Illegal land excavation and excessive exploitation of natural resources will ultimately become burdens for future generations,” Governor Dedi Mulyadi stated.

“The industries we develop must deliver direct benefits to local communities, both through the absorption of local labor and the creation of tangible multiplier effects for regional economies,” he added.

The Governor also encouraged business leaders to maintain intensive communication with local governments in order to jointly address various investment-related challenges and identify practical solutions.

Meanwhile, Ning Wahyu Astutik, Chairwoman of APINDO West Java, expressed her appreciation for the West Java Provincial Government’s support of the business sector, particularly in addressing security concerns and enhancing workforce competencies. Nevertheless, she acknowledged that businesses continue to face significant challenges, ranging from declining orders to operational constraints such as electricity supply disruptions and limited access to raw water resources.

“For us, the leadership we need is not one that seeks perfection, but one that is willing to listen, engage directly with stakeholders, understand challenges firsthand, and respond swiftly with solutions. We have experienced that kind of leadership,” said Ning Wahyu Astutik.

In addition to the Governor, the event was attended by several prominent figures, including Enggartiasto Lukita, the 33rd Minister of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as members of the West Java Regional Leadership Coordination Forum (Forkopimda).

The inauguration was also attended by senior officials of APINDO’s National Board, including Vice Chairmen Eddy Hussy and Sanny Iskandar. Other attendees included Bob Azam, Chairman of the Manpower Affairs Division; Anthony Hilman, Chairman of Organizational Affairs; Subchan Gatot, Chairman of the Wage Committee under the Manpower Affairs Division; and Rudolf Saut, Executive Director of APINDO’s National Board.
