APINDO Leadership Holds Courtesy Meeting with Governor of Central Papua

Nabire — A courtesy meeting between the leadership of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) and the Governor of Central Papua, Meki Fritz Nawipa, S.H., served as a strategic platform to strengthen the partnership between the regional government and the business community, Friday (12/12/2025) in Nabire.

The meeting was not merely a formal courtesy call, but also an effort to deepen synergy in accelerating regional economic development.

APINDO’s presence as a national employers’ association provided a more comprehensive perspective on investment dynamics and the needs of the business sector in Central Papua.

During the discussion, a number of key issues were addressed in depth, including MSME development, the investment climate, employment, and the strengthening of policy advocacy in support of sustainable economic growth.

In addition, workforce training, the potential of the livestock sector, vocational education, and opportunities in the mining sector were highlighted as shared priorities to ensure that Central Papua can maximize its resource potential. The meeting underscored the commitment of both parties to formulate realistic and impactful policies and collaborative programs that directly benefit the community.

The discussion took place in the backyard of the Central Papua Governor’s Office in a warm and open atmosphere. The serving of locally sourced Papuan coffee added to the informal setting and helped foster closer dialogue between APINDO and the regional government. This constructive atmosphere provided a strong foundation for more concrete collaboration and opened opportunities for follow-up meetings in the form of more structured joint programs.

Accompanying APINDO Chairwoman Shinta W. Kamdani were APINDO Vice Chairmen Eddy Hussy and Sanny Iskandar, Head of APINDO’s MSME Division Ronald Walla, Head of APINDO’s Organizational Affairs Anthony Hilman, and APINDO Executive Director Rudolf Saut. Also in attendance were Alex Gobai, Chairman of the Central Papua Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and Fransiskus Pekei, Chairman of APINDO Central Papua.
