Saturday, 13 December 2025
Jayapura — The leadership of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), led by APINDO Chairwoman Shinta W. Kamdani, held a Thanksgiving Worship Service to welcome Christmas 2025 at the Putri Kerahiman Hawai Orphanage in Jayapura City on Saturday (13/12/2025).
Accompanying Shinta were APINDO Vice Chairmen Eddy Hussy and Sanny Iskandar, Head of APINDO’s Organizational Affairs Anthony Hilman, Head of APINDO’s MSME & Cooperatives Division Ronald Walla, Chairman of APINDO Papua Moses Morin, and APINDO Executive Director Rudolf Saut. During the visit, the APINDO leadership distributed care packages and provided educational assistance to support the needs of 60 children at the orphanage.
Shinta W. Kamdani emphasized that APINDO’s presence in the Christmas celebration was not merely as a business organization, but as family coming to share love, strengthen fraternity, and express genuine care for the children of Papua.
The APINDO leadership reaffirmed the commitment of Indonesia’s business community to be present and contribute to human development, particularly for the younger generation in Papua.
Through the Christmas celebration and the distribution of gifts in Jayapura, APINDO underscored that building Indonesia is not only about economic growth, but also about nurturing hope, character, and the future of children who come from backgrounds marked by limitations and life’s challenges. Papuan children were described as the “Black Pearls,” possessing great potential to become a source of light for Papua and Indonesia.
Drawing on the Papuan noble value of “One Stove, Three Stones” (Satu Tungku Tiga Batu), Shinta highlighted the importance of togetherness and mutual support among government, the church, the community, and the business sector in safeguarding peace and the future of Papua. APINDO remains committed to walking together, delivering sustainable care, and becoming part of the children’s journey toward a brighter future.
The APINDO leadership also conveyed prayers and Christmas greetings, hoping that God’s love will continue to strengthen fraternity and guide every step in bringing light to others.
Head of the Putri Kerahiman Orphanage, Sister Gerarda Untu, DSY, expressed gratitude to God for the visit of the APINDO leadership from Jakarta and Papua in celebration of Christmas at the orphanage. She also conveyed deep appreciation and heartfelt thanks for the care and love shared with the children.
The joint Christmas celebration was described as a blessed encounter, with APINDO deliberately choosing the Putri Kerahiman Hawai Sentani Orphanage as a reflection of its concern for children in need of support and affection. It was also noted that the children come from various conflict-affected regions across Papua, including Asmat, Pegunungan Bintang, Intan Jaya, Dogiyai, Keerom, and Yahukimo, ranging in age from kindergarten to senior high school, reflecting the diversity and brotherhood of Papua.
The sisters, staff, and children of the orphanage offered prayers for God’s blessings and grace upon all APINDO services, both at the national and regional levels, as well as for the entire APINDO family.
Chairman of APINDO Papua, Moses Morin, stated that the presence of the APINDO leadership was a deeply meaningful moment and a source of renewed spirit for APINDO Papua. From this place, he said, the values of togetherness, care, and humanity within APINDO continue to be lived out and strengthened.
Moses emphasized that the Christmas celebration at the orphanage was not merely a visit, but a symbol of a shared commitment for APINDO to be increasingly present, impactful, and to provide real hope for the people of Papua.
