Shinta Kamdani Inaugurates DPP APINDO North Kalimantan for the 2026–2031 Term

TARAKAN, July 16, 2026 – Chairman of the National Executive Board (DPN) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), Shinta W. Kamdani, officially inaugurated the leadership of the Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of APINDO North Kalimantan for the 2026–2031 term. The inauguration ceremony was held at the Old Terminal Building (Klasik) of Juwata Airport in Tarakan.
The ceremony began with the solemn reading of the inauguration decree by APINDO Executive Director Rudolf Saut, followed by the recitation of the leadership oath and the ceremonial handover of the APINDO organizational banner by Shinta Kamdani to Peter Setiawan, the newly elected Chairman of DPP APINDO North Kalimantan. The inauguration was also marked by the joint signing of the official minutes with Anny Susilowati, Chairwoman of the DPP APINDO North Kalimantan Advisory Council.
In her remarks, Shinta W. Kamdani congratulated the newly inaugurated leadership and expressed optimism about North Kalimantan’s future, referring to the province as “Benuanta: The Gateway of the Archipelago, the Future of Indonesia.” She emphasized the strategic role of APINDO North Kalimantan in addressing key economic issues, including deregulation and reducing logistics costs through the Debottlenecking Channel initiative.
“Economic growth requires collaboration. The government creates a conducive climate, the business community brings investment, and society becomes the main actor. When all three move together, potential can be transformed into prosperity,” Shinta said.
In his remarks, Peter Setiawan reaffirmed his commitment to making APINDO a “big home” for entrepreneurs capable of driving regional economic growth. He highlighted North Kalimantan’s strategic potential as a gateway to international trade and a global green industrial hub through the Indonesia Green Industrial Estate (KIHI).
“This trust is a major responsibility that must be carried out with integrity in service to the business community and the people of North Kalimantan,” Peter said.
He also outlined five key priorities for his leadership: strengthening APINDO’s institutional presence at the regency and municipal levels; promoting quality investment; improving the quality of the local workforce; building harmonious industrial relations; and strengthening the role of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) within industrial supply chains.
Appreciation from the North Kalimantan Provincial Government
Representing the North Kalimantan Provincial Government, Secretary of the North Kalimantan Province, H. Denny Harianto, S.E., M.M., expressed his appreciation for the inauguration and APINDO’s continued commitment to supporting regional development.
“The North Kalimantan Provincial Government extends its highest appreciation to APINDO for its commitment to serving as a strategic partner of the government. The presence of new faces within the DPP APINDO North Kalimantan leadership brings great hope for accelerating economic development in Bumi Benuanta,” he said.
The event concluded with the launch of APINDO Mart and the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Borneo Tarakan and PT Askrindo on cooperation in human resource development and the utilization of insurance services.
Also in attendance were Abriantinus, Chairman of DPP APINDO East Kalimantan, as well as representatives of the North Kalimantan Provincial Forkopimda and Tarakan City Forkopimda.
