Safe and Smooth Christmas–New Year Holidays, Batu APINDO Chair Praises Batu Police

Malang — The Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of Batu City, who also serves as Director of the Jawa Timur Park (JTP) Group, Suryo Widodo, expressed his appreciation for the Batu Police Resort (Polres Batu) for maintaining security and public order during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year celebrations.
According to Suryo, conditions in Batu City throughout the Christmas and New Year holiday period remained safe and conducive. Both residents and tourists were able to carry out their activities comfortably thanks to integrated security measures implemented by the police in coordination with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) and other relevant stakeholders.
“During the Christmas and New Year celebrations, the public and tourists visiting Batu City felt safe and comfortable. This was inseparable from the role of the police, the TNI, and other parties involved in maintaining security,” Suryo Widodo said on Thursday (January 8, 2026).
He noted that security operations in tourist areas were carried out effectively despite a surge in visitor numbers. Traffic flow remained under control and did not result in prolonged congestion, allowing tourism activities to run smoothly.
Suryo also highlighted the humane and professional approach adopted by the police throughout the year-end holiday period. The presence of law enforcement personnel on the ground was seen as providing a sense of security while also facilitating the smooth conduct of community activities and tourism businesses.
“The presence of police officers during the year-end holidays was truly felt and greatly helped in keeping the situation conducive,” he said.
For these achievements, Suryo extended his gratitude to Batu Police Chief AKBP Andi Yudha Pranata and all personnel involved in securing the Christmas and New Year celebrations within the Batu Police jurisdiction.
“We appreciate the Batu Police Chief and all his personnel. Under his leadership, security operations were carried out in a humane manner, close to the community, and capable of creating a safe atmosphere for all,” he concluded.
