APINDO West Papua Holds First 2026 Provincial Work and Consultation Meeting, Strengthens Business-Government Synergy

MANOKWARI, West Papua — The West Papua Provincial Leadership Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) held its first 2026 Provincial Work and Consultation Meeting (RAKERKONPROV I) on Saturday, July 25, 2026, in Manokwari, West Papua.

 

The event served as a strategic forum to strengthen synergy among the business community, regional government, and other stakeholders in supporting economic development and fostering a conducive investment climate in West Papua.

 

One of the main agendas was a panel discussion titled “Cross-Sector Synergy in Strengthening the Investment Ecosystem, Infrastructure, Employment, Cooperatives/MSMEs, Financing, and Economic Data in West Papua.”

 

The discussion brought together representatives from six strategic institutions: the Office of Cooperatives and MSMEs; the Office of Transmigration and Manpower; the Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP); the Office of Public Works and Spatial Planning (PUPR); the Financial Services Authority (OJK); and Statistics Indonesia (BPS) of West Papua Province.

 

The speakers discussed policies and strategies across their respective fields, ranging from strengthening cooperatives and MSMEs and improving workforce quality to facilitating investment, developing infrastructure, expanding access to financing, and utilizing statistical data as a basis for policymaking and investment decisions.

 

Beyond serving as a platform for exchanging ideas, RAKERKONPROV I also functioned as an organizational consolidation forum to formulate strategic measures that are responsive to the evolving business environment and the development needs of the region.

 

The event concluded with the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between DPP APINDO West Papua and several strategic partners. The agreements are expected to strengthen collaboration in creating a healthy investment climate, enhancing business competitiveness, and promoting inclusive and sustainable economic growth in West Papua.

 

Through the 2026 RAKERKONPROV I, DPP APINDO West Papua reaffirmed its commitment to serving as a strategic partner to the government in strengthening the business climate, enhancing competitiveness, expanding employment opportunities, and promoting investment that delivers tangible benefits to the people of West Papua.
