APINDO participated in the 13th Annual U.S.–Indonesia Investment Summit on Monday (17 November 2025) in Jakarta, a strategic forum that convenes government stakeholders and business leaders to assess the first-year achievements of the current administration and explore collaborative avenues to strengthen Indonesia’s investment climate and global competitiveness.
Under the theme “Turning Headwinds into Opportunities: Unlocking Investment Potential to Power Indonesia’s Growth,” the conference underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in navigating an increasingly complex global economic landscape.
During a dedicated session, APINDO Chairwoman Shinta W. Kamdani delivered a comprehensive outlook on Indonesia’s investment environment, highlighting reform agendas aimed at reducing the cost of doing business, enhancing regulatory predictability, and cultivating a more competitive investment ecosystem. She also addressed the challenges and opportunities arising from the latest U.S. tariff negotiations, noting that these developments could serve as a catalyst for Indonesia to strengthen its position within global value chains. Shinta emphasized the pivotal role of the private sector in deepening Indonesia–U.S. economic cooperation—from policy formulation to technology collaboration and talent development.
The event also featured prominent figures, including Donna Priadi (Managing Director, AmCham Indonesia), John Goyer (VP for Southeast Asia & Oceania, U.S. Chamber of Commerce), Thomas Djiwandono (Vice Minister of Finance), and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development), as well as APINDO representatives Adhi Lukman (Manufacturing Industry Division), Diono Nurjadin (Investment Division), and Mufti Hamka Hasan (Trade Division).
Through its constructive deliberations, the Summit reaffirmed a shared commitment to transforming challenges into opportunities for inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
