APINDO and North Maluku Provincial Government Focus on Fostering a Healthy Business Climate

TERNATE — The Governor of North Maluku, Sherly Tjoanda, through the Assistant for Economic Affairs and Development Administration at the Regional Secretariat of North Maluku, Sri Haryanti Hatari, emphasized that the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO) is a strategic partner for the government in driving regional economic growth.

This statement was delivered by Sri Haryanti while representing the Governor at a networking event hosted by APINDO North Maluku with Samator Group’s Chief Technology and Compliance Officer, who is also the Chair of APINDO East Java, Imelda Mulyani Harsono, held at Bella Hotel Ternate on Sunday evening, April 28, 2025.

“APINDO is a strategic partner of the government in promoting regional economic growth. Therefore, it is essential to establish effective communication between APINDO and the regional government,” said Sri Haryanti, delivering the Governor's remarks.

She emphasized that well-structured communication between APINDO and the regional government is a key pillar in advancing the business sector and promoting comprehensive economic development.

“The North Maluku Provincial Government is always open to dialogue and collaborative solutions to create a healthy business environment and foster inclusive economic growth,” she added.

Sri Haryanti also encouraged all elements of the business sector to maintain collaboration, innovate, and generate positive impacts for the community. She stressed that synergy between the business world and the government is crucial to achieving development goals and improving public welfare in North Maluku.

“If only APINDO acts alone, or the government proceeds by itself, it will take a much longer time to achieve our shared goals. That’s why collaboration is vital,” she affirmed.

She also invited APINDO to jointly develop new investment innovations that leverage North Maluku's natural resources for the benefit of its people.

Meanwhile, the Chair of APINDO North Maluku, Gajali Abd Mutalib, stated in his remarks that every investment entering the province will naturally open up new employment opportunities and drive tangible economic growth for the community.

Gajali expressed hope that the presence of the Samator Group in North Maluku would bring added value and positive impact, particularly for local entrepreneurs. He encouraged local MSMEs to engage and build partnerships with Samator Group.

The networking event was attended by East Java APINDO Chair Imelda Mulyani Harsono, Head of Bank Indonesia’s North Maluku Representative Office Dwi Putra Indrawan, Heads of the North Maluku branches of BPJS Employment and BPJS Health, the Head of the Provincial Office of Industry and Trade, APINDO North Maluku Advisory Board members, business leaders, and other APINDO officials.
