Untad and APINDO Central Sulawesi Forge Partnership to Strengthen University–Industry Collaboration

PALU – Tadulako University (Untad) is strengthening its synergy with the business sector through a strategic collaboration with the Central Sulawesi Provincial Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO). This collaboration was formalized with the signing of a memorandum of understanding covering education, research, and community service, as well as a cooperation agreement with Untad’s Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) on the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, internship programs, and competency certification training.

 

Untad Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. Amar, ST., MT., IPU., ASEAN Eng highlighted the importance of collaboration between universities and the business community.

 

“This partnership is crucial for enriching the body of knowledge across disciplines. For students, it provides valuable preparation for navigating real-world challenges beyond campus,” he said when opening a public lecture themed “Globally Competitive Young Entrepreneurs: Succeeding with Integrity and Outstanding Character” at the FEB Untad Postgraduate Building on Thursday (September 25, 2025).

 

Prof. Amar also expressed his appreciation to APINDO, particularly the Central Sulawesi board, for the establishment of this partnership.

 

“Thank you to APINDO. We hope this collaboration will serve as a gateway for even closer cooperation between both parties,” he added.

 

The public lecture featured Wijaya Chandra, Chairman of DPP APINDO Central Sulawesi, as the keynote speaker. The event was attended by the APINDO Central Sulawesi board, representatives of the APINDO National Board (DPN) joining virtually, Untad Senate Chairman Prof. Djayani Nurdin, university leadership, and students of FEB Untad.

 

FEB Untad Dean, Prof. Dr. Wahyuningsih, S.E., M.Sc., Ph.D, emphasized the importance of linking higher education with the business sector.

 

“In today’s era of rapidly developing information and digital technology, sharing with the business community is crucial to ensure students remain up to date with current developments,” she remarked.

 

Through this collaboration, Untad hopes to enhance the impact of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, in line with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology’s tagline: “Diktisaintek Berdampak” (Science, Technology, and Higher Education with Impact).
