New APINDO Leadership in West Kutai Set for Inauguration, Expected to Strengthen Regional Investment Climate

SENDAWAR — A new chapter for the business community in West Kutai Regency (Kubar) is set to begin as the new leadership of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) West Kutai for the 2026–2031 term prepares for its inauguration at the Aji Tulur Jejangkat Auditorium on Tuesday (September 15, 2026).

Preparations were well underway on Monday afternoon (September 14, 2026), with the organizing committee conducting a full rehearsal to ensure that the inauguration ceremony runs smoothly.

Chairman of the Inauguration Committee, Arkadius Elly, said preparations for the event had reached 90 percent completion. He added that the ceremony would bring together key stakeholders from the region’s economic sector.

“All components of the event are ready. Tomorrow’s inauguration will not only be attended by the APINDO East Kalimantan provincial leadership and the incoming officials, but also by senior executives of companies operating in Tanaa Purai Ngeriman,” Arkadius said confidently while monitoring the final rehearsal.

The APINDO West Kutai leadership for the next five years will be headed by Hermanto Gigot as Chairman, with Ismail Marzuki serving as Secretary and Miranda as Treasurer. The oath-taking and inauguration ceremony will be led directly by Abriantinus, Chairman of APINDO East Kalimantan.

More than a formal leadership handover, the event is being positioned as a major consolidation effort for the business community in West Kutai.

APINDO West Kutai Secretary Ismail Marzuki said invitations had been extended to more than 70 companies, labor unions, and Regional Government Organizations (OPDs) within the West Kutai Regency Government.

“We want to bring all stakeholders together. The participation of businesspeople, particularly local entrepreneurs, is crucial because this inauguration marks the first step toward building a stronger and more integrated business network,” Ismail said.

Ismail emphasized that APINDO should serve as a strong bridge for synergy between the business community and the local government, rather than merely functioning as a formal association.

“APINDO is here as a strategic partner to the government and as a safeguard for business interests. We want to ensure that the investment and business climate in West Kutai continues to develop in a healthy and sustainable manner. Our shared aspiration to advance the local economy can be realized through this meaningful collaboration,” he concluded.
