APINDO Tegal Reaffirms Commitment to Protect Workers through BPJamsostek Program

TEGAL – The Chairman of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) Tegal Regency, Kiswanto, emphasized the importance of the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJamsostek) program as a tangible form of worker protection.

He stated that employers’ participation in the program proves that businesses are not only focused on productivity but also on the welfare of workers and their families.

Kiswanto delivered the remarks while accompanying the Head of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Tegal Branch, Endah Rahmawati, in symbolically handing over compensation worth IDR 228,271,910 to the heirs of a worker from PT Cita Contrac, Karanganyar Village, Tegal Regency, on Thursday (September 4, 2025).

“BPJamsostek is indeed a real manifestation of the government’s presence, as well as evidence of how employers provide protection for all workers. On behalf of APINDO Tegal, I would like to wish everyone a Happy National Customer Day. Hopefully, this synergy will continue to provide maximum protection for workers and their families,” Kiswanto said.

He also expressed appreciation after directly meeting one of the beneficiary families. For nearly four years since the worker’s passing, the family has continued to receive educational scholarships from BPJamsostek.

“This is clear evidence that the state and companies are present to protect the heirs, especially children who are still pursuing their education through scholarships. We hope that in the future, the protection provided will not only cover education but also extend to other aspects of workers’ and families’ welfare,” he added.

APINDO affirmed its commitment to continuously encourage companies in Tegal to actively participate in BPJamsostek, ensuring that all workers are guaranteed proper labor protection.
