APINDO Karimun Executive Board for 2024–2029 Officially Inaugurated

KEPRI – Alam was officially inaugurated as Chairman of the Regional Executive Board (DPK) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) for Karimun Regency for the 2024–2029 term on Wednesday evening, July 16, 2025.
The new board members were sworn in by Stanly Rocky, Chairman of the Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of APINDO Riau Islands (Kepri). The inauguration ceremony, held at the Aston Hotel Ballroom in Tanjung Balai Karimun, carried the theme: “Together with APINDO, We Build a Conducive, Competitive, and Sustainable Business Climate.”
The event was attended by Vice Regent of Karimun, Rocky Marciano Bawole, local government officials, and business leaders from the region.
In his speech, Alam emphasized that the inauguration was not merely ceremonial but served to strengthen APINDO’s role in supporting the regional economy. “APINDO Karimun remains committed to its core mission — one of which is creating a conducive and sustainable business environment,” he stated.
He outlined the board’s vision to help local MSMEs scale up through various initiatives, including improving the investment climate, human resource development, policy advocacy, and strong collaboration with the government and other stakeholders.
“With a spirit of unity and hard work, APINDO Karimun can become a leading force in promoting an inclusive and sustainable economy,” he added.
Karimun Regent Iskandarsyah also expressed his expectations that the newly appointed board would collaborate closely with the local government. He reiterated the district administration’s readiness to partner with the business sector in various areas, including simplifying business licensing processes.
“We hope that the new DPK APINDO Karimun leadership will serve as a strategic partner to the local government in driving inclusive and sustainable economic growth,” said Iskandarsyah.
Meanwhile, outgoing APINDO Karimun Chairman Alex Ng shared his hopes that the new board would exceed expectations and foster stronger synergy with local authorities. He acknowledged the limitations during his tenure and expressed confidence in the new leadership’s capacity.
“There is still much to be done. I admit there were shortcomings during my leadership, but I believe this new board can become a driving force for an inclusive and competitive economy in Karimun,” Alex concluded.
