DELI SERDANG – The Regional Executive Board of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (DPKab APINDO) in Deli Serdang has unanimously appointed Tetty Dolok Saribu as the interim Chair for the 2024–2029 term, replacing the late Indra Siregar.
The appointment was made through an acclamation during a board and member meeting held at the office of PT Indojaya Agrinusa (Japfa) on the Trans-Sumatra Highway in Tanjung Morawa, on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
Tetty Dolok Saribu steps into the leadership role following the passing of Indra Siregar on Saturday, March 22, 2025. His death left a leadership vacuum, prompting the board and members to convene a plenary meeting to appoint a successor.
“We will continue the programs initiated by the late Indra Siregar, especially those focused on strengthening the MSME sector. A key agenda that was delayed is an audience with the Regent of Deli Serdang. We plan to request the issuance of a regional regulation (Perbup) that would encourage companies and industries in Deli Serdang to join or affiliate with APINDO,” said Tetty Dolok Saribu.
She emphasized the importance of every company becoming a member of APINDO to access numerous benefits, including support on labor and licensing issues.
APINDO, she added, is part of the regional wage council and plays a strategic role as a partner to both labor unions and government agencies in addressing labor relations and industrial matters.
“Previously, with the late Indra Siregar, we had already held meetings with the Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Head of the National Narcotics Agency (BNN). The meeting with BPS was particularly important, as BPS provides crucial data for determining the annual minimum wage. As for the BNN partnership, we agreed on a zero-tolerance policy for employees involved with drugs,” she stated.
Tetty also outlined plans for APINDO Deli Serdang to organize training sessions in collaboration with relevant institutions to help develop a resilient workforce. Additionally, APINDO will assist in addressing issues related to the national social security program (BPJS).
Looking ahead, she affirmed that APINDO Deli Serdang will undertake a range of initiatives aimed at delivering value to its member companies. The organization must foster a healthy business climate that contributes to the region’s economic growth.
“My target is to implement various programs that will encourage more companies in Deli Serdang to join APINDO,” she concluded.
