Evan Tandean Elected Chairman of APINDO East Halmahera

EAST HALMAHERA, North Maluku – The 2nd Conference of the East Halmahera Regency Leadership Council (DPK) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) for the 2026–2031 term was officially held in Buli on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The conference carried the theme, “Driving Innovation, Strengthening the Regional Economy, and Working Together to Build a More Advanced and Prosperous East Halmahera.”

The 2nd APINDO East Halmahera Conference elected Evan Tandean as Chairman of the DPK APINDO East Halmahera for the 2026–2031 term.

Evan Tandean said the conference reflected APINDO’s spirit of togetherness and collaboration.

Under his leadership, APINDO East Halmahera, he said, would continue to serve as a strategic partner in promoting a conducive and sustainable investment climate.

As an organization representing employers, APINDO also has a moral responsibility to foster humane, dynamic, and fair industrial relations.

“APINDO believes that workers’ welfare is the key to corporate productivity, while business sustainability is a guarantee of continued job creation,” Evan said.

On the occasion, DPK APINDO East Halmahera expressed its highest appreciation to the East Halmahera Regency Government under the leadership of Regent Ubaid Yakub and Deputy Regent Anjas Taher for the support and facilitation provided to the business community.

APINDO, he added, would serve as a critical yet constructive dialogue partner for the East Halmahera Regency Government in formulating regional economic policies.

Evan Tandean further noted that East Halmahera Regency, which is home to 44 nickel mining companies, could eventually establish a tripartite wage council involving the government, employers, and workers.
