'Gas Kipas Stunting' Program by Apindo is Following President Jokowi's Directive
Sunday, 23 June 2024The Healthy Inclusive Collaboration Movement of Indonesian Entrepreneurs to Address Stunting (Gas Kipas Stunting), initiated by the Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo), has received public appreciation. Apindo claims that this program responds to President Joko Widodo's (Jokowi) directive to address the stunting issue in Indonesia.
"We are positively responding to the government's wishes, especially President Jokowi's, inviting Apindo to take part in eradicating stunting. At the inauguration of Apindo's current management in August 2023, during the inauguration by the president, we presented this program," said Apindo Vice Chairman Sanny Iskandar during a conversation with PRO3 RRI on Sunday (June 23, 2024).
Sanny explained that the Gas Kipas Stunting program is a moral and social movement. In implementing this program, Apindo is rallying 1,000 entrepreneurs to reduce stunting in Indonesia.
"Our approach includes providing support for training farmers and food producers to improve the quality of the food they produce," he said.
Furthermore, Sanny emphasized the importance of ensuring the availability of nutritious food for the Indonesian population. Nutritious food must remain available in the market.
"Then we build health facilities, and we request CSR funds to help provide health facilities and nutrition in areas around the companies," he added.
