DPP APINDO South Sumatra Appoints Zewwy Salim as Interim Chairman for the 2022–2027 Term

PALEMBANG, July 31, 2026 – The Provincial Executive Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) South Sumatra convened a plenary meeting at Hotel Ibis Palembang to formalize the interim replacement of the Chairman of DPP APINDO South Sumatra for the 2022–2027 term.
The meeting was attended by members of the provincial leadership and APINDO Executive Director, representing the Chairman of APINDO, who served as a witness to the organization’s leadership transition.
The interim replacement followed the appointment of Sumarjono Saragih to the Supervisory Board of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Indonesia’s Workers’ Social Security Agency. In his remarks, Sumarjono expressed his appreciation for the contributions and performance of the entire leadership team.
“I would like to thank all members of the leadership for their performance and dedication. With my new appointment to the Supervisory Board of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, we are entrusting this leadership transition to Mr. Awi. I hope DPP APINDO South Sumatra will continue to advance in the years ahead,” he said.
Following the signing of the official minutes, Zewwy Salim (Awi) was formally appointed as Interim Chairman of DPP APINDO South Sumatra, succeeding Sumarjono and continuing the remainder of the 2022–2027 term.
The transition was carried out in accordance with APINDO’s Articles of Association and Bylaws (AD/ART). Under the new leadership, DPP APINDO South Sumatra is committed to maintaining organizational continuity while strengthening its role in promoting a conducive business climate and harmonious industrial relations across South Sumatra.
