Apindo Cilegon Management for 2025–2028 Officially Inaugurated, Focus on Safeguarding Investment Climate

CILEGON – The Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) Cilegon chapter officially inaugurated its management board for the 2025–2028 term during the Induction Ceremony and City Coordination Meeting (Rakerkonkot) held at Aston Boutique Hotel on Tuesday, August 26, 2025.

The event underscored Apindo’s commitment to safeguarding the investment climate, driving economic growth, and ensuring the sustainability of industry in Cilegon.

Chairman of Apindo Cilegon, Najib Hanafi, emphasized the crucial role of Apindo in maintaining industrial productivity and stability. He noted that global economic turbulence has placed Cilegon’s industrial sector in a vulnerable position.

“Our industries must be protected. If we fail to maintain sustainability, the impact could be layoffs. Apindo’s key priorities are twofold: preventing layoffs from happening and promoting economic growth alongside job creation,” Najib told Radar Banten after the event.

Najib further explained that Apindo’s National Executive Board (DPN) is actively fostering synergy with the government to strengthen industrial policy amid global trade wars and tariff pressures that affect the domestic market.

Meanwhile, Cilegon Deputy Mayor, Fajar Hadi Prabowo, who attended the event, stressed the importance of collaboration among all stakeholders in building a resilient industrial ecosystem in the city.

“No industrial city can advance without collaboration. This nation is supported by MSMEs. During the pandemic, we learned that when MSMEs weaken, people’s purchasing power also declines. My message is that Apindo must safeguard synergy so that Cilegon’s industrial ecosystem aligns with real needs while pushing the economy toward positive growth,” Fajar said.

He also reminded stakeholders to maintain harmony and avoid conflicts that could harm the investment climate.

“Cilegon must not go viral again for negative reasons. Instead, it should go viral for positive ones—with economic growth and sustainable investment,” he stressed.
