APINDO and Governor Dedi Mulyadi Meet at eL Hotel to Discuss Business Challenges

APINDO and Governor Dedi Mulyadi Meet at eL Hotel to Discuss Business Challenges

Bandung – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) held a meeting with West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi at eL Hotel, Bandung, on Thursday evening (October 23, 2025), to strengthen communication between the government and the business community. The event was attended by hundreds of entrepreneurs from across the province.

Chairperson of APINDO West Java, Ning Wahyu, said that the meeting with Kang Dedi Mulyadi (KDM) aimed to discuss key issues currently faced by businesses, while also providing entrepreneurs an opportunity to better understand the governor’s strategic programs.

“One of the complaints we’ve received concerns industrial land that has suddenly been reclassified as salt farming land — affecting over 100 hectares. That’s just one example,” explained Ning Wahyu.

APINDO, she added, welcomed the governor’s proposal to simplify the wage structure by eliminating district and city minimum wages (UMK) and instead applying a single provincial minimum wage (UMP) system.

“After that, wage differentiation will be applied based on specific sectors,” she said.

Meanwhile, Governor Dedi Mulyadi emphasized that the meeting with APINDO was part of a broader effort to enhance dialogue and collaboration between the government and business sector.

“Most importantly, I’ve asked the APINDO Chairperson to identify key challenges faced by the business community,” said Dedi.

He added that once these issues are clearly mapped out, both the government and APINDO would work together to formulate effective solutions.
