East Kutai Police Collaborates with Disnaker, APINDO, and KADIN Through Iftar Gathering

EAST KUTAI – In an effort to strengthen ties and enhance inter-institutional cooperation, the East Kutai Police held a gathering and iftar (breaking of the fast) event with various community stakeholders. The event was attended by representatives from the Department of Manpower (Disnaker), the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KADIN), and several labor unions in East Kutai Regency.

Held at Rumah Makan Adinda, the gathering was attended by the East Kutai Police Chief, AKBP Chandra Hermawan, S.I.K., M.H., the Head of the Disnaker, the Chairpersons of APINDO and KADIN, as well as representatives of active labor unions in the region. The aim of the event was to strengthen synergy between law enforcement, local government, the business sector, and workers in order to create a conducive, safe, and comfortable environment for the people of East Kutai—particularly in support of regional development and collective welfare.

In his address, East Kutai Police Chief AKBP Chandra Hermawan emphasized that the event was part of the effort to foster stronger relationships between the police, the government, and the community.

“We hope that through this gathering, we can continue to build stronger collaboration in achieving shared security and prosperity. East Kutai Police will always support all positive initiatives aimed at advancing the region and improving the well-being of its people,” said AKBP Chandra on March 26, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Head of the East Kutai Disnaker stressed the importance of harmonious relations between the government and the labor sector.

“We highly appreciate this event, as it helps strengthen relationships between workers, employers, and the government. Good collaboration will create a conducive work climate, which is certainly beneficial for all parties—both workers and employers in East Kutai,” he said.

The Chairpersons of APINDO and KADIN also expressed appreciation for the East Kutai Police’s initiative in organizing the event. They hoped the collaboration between law enforcement, local government, business actors, and workers would continue to deepen in the shared effort to create a safe environment and support local economic growth.

The iftar moment became a meaningful part of the event. Guests and participants shared a meal in a warm and familial atmosphere. The occasion also served as an opportunity to discuss various social, economic, and labor-related issues facing the East Kutai community.

Police Chief AKBP Chandra added that the iftar gathering was not only about fostering relationships but also about strengthening synergy across multiple sectors, including security, labor affairs, and regional development.

“Breaking the fast together during the holy month of Ramadan is not just about maintaining relationships, but also about reinforcing collaboration in key areas—security, employment, and regional development,” he added.

Through events like this, it is hoped that institutional relationships will become stronger and cooperation more effective in creating a conducive environment for the people of East Kutai.
