East Java APINDO Holds 2025 Provincial Consultation Working Meeting: Strengthening Economic Foundations Through Local Advantages Amid Global Pressures

Banyuwangi, May 20, 2025 – The East Java Chapter of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) officially convened its 2025 Provincial Consultation Working Meeting (Rakerkonprov) at El Royale Hotel & Resort Banyuwangi, under the theme “Strengthening Economic Foundations Through Local Advantages Amid Global Pressures.”

Anthony Hilman, Head of Organizational Affairs at APINDO’s National Board, praised East Java’s strategic role as a key contributor to the national economy—particularly in manufacturing, agriculture, and exports.

“Businesses are grappling with numerous challenges, from soaring production costs and regulatory uncertainties to the threat of imported product dumping. APINDO emphasizes the importance of active participation from the business community in advocating for pro-business policies. A concrete example of this is our support for the Indonesia Incorporated initiative, which unites all sectors of the nation in safeguarding economic resilience and reinforcing regional development,” Anthony said.

Through this Rakerkonprov, East Java APINDO reaffirmed its commitment to serving as a strategic partner to the government in maintaining economic stability and fostering a healthy business climate. The organization believes that collaboration—with local governments, business associations, and labor unions—is crucial to weathering global pressures and unlocking the rich potential of East Java’s local resources.
