SIDOARJO – The Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) of Sidoarjo Regency officially inaugurated its new chairman and board members for the 2024–2029 term in a solemn ceremony held at Handayani Restaurant, Sidoarjo, on Wednesday (April 16, 2025). The inauguration was held in conjunction with the Halal Bihalal celebration of Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

The event was attended by several key figures, including Sidoarjo Regency’s Assistant II, Muhammad Mahmud, who represented the Regent of Sidoarjo; East Java APINDO Chairman, Edy Wijanarko; Head of the Sidoarjo Manpower Office (Disnaker), Ainun Amalia; and both incoming and outgoing members of the APINDO Sidoarjo leadership.

In his remarks, APINDO Sidoarjo Chairman Sukiyanto reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to supporting the regional government’s programs, particularly in the area of local workforce absorption. He emphasized that synergy between APINDO and the Sidoarjo Regency Government is key to addressing unemployment in the region.

“We have maintained close collaboration with the Sidoarjo administration to enhance local employment. To that end, we are currently developing an employee database as a strategic solution,” said Sukiyanto.

He explained that the database would serve as a tool to facilitate a faster, more efficient, and organized recruitment process. “When job vacancies arise—especially for Sidoarjo residents—we can immediately reach out to pre-registered candidates. This not only expedites the process but also ensures that local residents are prioritized,” he added.

This initiative is part of APINDO Sidoarjo’s broader commitment to creating an inclusive, adaptive, and sustainable employment ecosystem, in line with regional development policies in the labor sector.

With the new leadership now officially in place, APINDO Sidoarjo is expected to further strengthen its strategic role in driving regional economic growth and becoming an active partner of the government in improving community welfare.
