APINDO Malut Chair Backs Food Security in North Maluku

TERNATE – The Chairman of the North Maluku Provincial Board (DPP) of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), Ir. Ghazali Abdul Mutalib, expressed strong support for the government’s efforts to safeguard food security in the region. He delivered the statement during a press briefing on Wednesday (August 20, 2025) at Sahid Bela Hotel Ternate, following the opening of the 2025 North Maluku Provincial Food Coordination Meeting.

“DPP APINDO Malut fully supports the government’s initiatives to maintain food security in this province,” Ghazali Abdul Mutalib affirmed.

However, he stressed the importance of both entrepreneurs and the government extending concrete support to MSMEs that manage natural resources across districts and municipalities in North Maluku.

“This support should come in the form of capital assistance as well as promotional efforts for processed products such as tuna floss, nutmeg syrup, and various other local goods,” he explained.

Ghazali further emphasized that local entrepreneurs must be able to seize these opportunities by promoting processed local food products, particularly those already transformed into ready-to-eat items such as tuna floss.
