APINDO Banyumas Commits to Improving Worker Welfare and Productivity

BANYUMAS — Ahead of International Workers’ Day, the Banyumas chapter of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a balance between worker welfare and business sustainability in order to preserve a conducive investment climate amid challenging global economic conditions.

Chair of APINDO Banyumas, Bambang Parmono, stated that employee welfare remains a priority for employers. According to him, fulfilling workers’ rights is directly linked to corporate progress, as it significantly contributes to higher productivity.

“From the employers’ perspective, improving employee welfare is something we strongly support. Better welfare will certainly lead to higher productivity. That is the key principle,” he said in an interview with RRI Purwokerto on Thursday (April 30, 2026).

However, Bambang acknowledged the major challenges currently faced by businesses, particularly the impact of global geopolitical conditions that continue to disrupt economic stability.

In response, APINDO Banyumas is encouraging businesses to focus on efficiency measures across various sectors without neglecting workers’ rights.

As a concrete step toward fostering harmonious industrial relations, Bambang called on all stakeholders to prioritize openness and mutual understanding. He emphasized that transparency between employers and employees is essential to maintaining a healthy business environment.

Concluding his remarks ahead of Labor Day, Bambang delivered a strong message reflecting the long-term commitment of the business community in Banyumas.

“The commitment of employers in Banyumas is clear: prosperous employees, healthy companies,” he stated.
