Preventing Narcotics in the Business Sector, BNN and APINDO Sign MoU

Banten – In a bid to strengthen efforts to prevent and eradicate drug abuse in the business environment, the National Narcotics Agency (BNN) of Tangerang City and the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) Tangerang City have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Modernland, Tangerang City.

 

The MoU represents a joint commitment to implement programs under the Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Trafficking of Narcotics (P4GN) initiative within companies affiliated with APINDO. Head of BNN Tangerang City, Josephien Vivick Tjangkung, expressed appreciation for APINDO’s proactive stance on combating drug abuse in the workplace.

 

"This partnership is a strategic step toward creating a drug-free work environment while also strengthening national resilience through the business sector," she stated.

 

Ismail, Chair of the Tangerang City APINDO Branch Executive Council (DPK), emphasized the importance of cross-sector collaboration in maintaining workforce productivity and health. "The business sector must not ignore the threat of narcotics. This collaboration is a concrete demonstration of our commitment to safeguarding the nation's future generations," he said.

 

The implementation of the MoU will include awareness campaigns, training programs, and regular urine testing for employees of affiliated companies.

 

“These activities will focus on employee education, and we hope to establish a sustainable partnership to foster a safe, healthy, and productive work environment,” he added.
