APINDO Hosts Global Minimum Tax Socialization in Subang, Hundreds of Entrepreneurs Attend

SUBANG – Hundreds of entrepreneurs from various sectors in Subang Regency gathered at Hotel Nalendra on Thursday (May 22, 2025) to attend a socialization event on the Global Minimum Tax policy.

The event was organized by the Subang chapter of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (DPK APINDO) in collaboration with IKRA Consulting. Chairman of DPK APINDO Subang, Asep Rochman Dimyati, served as the keynote speaker.

In his opening remarks, Asep stated that the business world is entering a new era in the realm of international taxation.

He emphasized the importance of business actors understanding Minister of Finance Regulation (PMK) No. 136 of 2024, which forms the legal basis for the implementation of the Global Minimum Tax policy in Indonesia.

"This policy is part of the OECD/G20 Pillar Two initiative, aimed at creating a fairer international tax system and curbing cross-border tax avoidance. Indonesia must be prepared to embrace this change," Asep remarked.

He further noted that PMK 136/2024 represents a concrete step by the government in fulfilling its international commitments. However, he acknowledged that the policy's implementation poses unique challenges, particularly for multinational companies with cross-border structures.

Through this socialization initiative, Asep explained, APINDO Subang and IKRA Consulting aim to create an open dialogue with the business community to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the new policy's obligations and implications.

"We want to ensure that business players not only know the regulations but also understand the reporting procedures, the potential impacts on investment, and how to adapt their business strategies going forward," Asep said.

He also called on the government to maintain legal certainty, simplify administrative processes, and provide relevant incentives to preserve a favorable investment climate.

"APINDO is committed to being a strategic partner to the government in constructively overseeing the implementation of this policy while also safeguarding the interests of the business sector," he concluded.

The event was marked by high engagement, featuring interactive discussions and Q\&A sessions between business representatives and the speakers.
