APINDO West Java Fully Supports ‘Nyari Gawe’ Platform to Boost Employment Opportunities

Bandung – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) West Java has expressed its full support for “Nyari Gawe,” a digital employment platform initiated by the West Java Provincial Government, aimed at streamlining recruitment processes and enhancing transparency in job placement across the province.

Since its official launch in early October 2025, the platform has quickly gained public attention. In a short period, more than 86,600 job seekers have applied for various positions through the application developed by the provincial government.

Governor of West Java Dedi Mulyadi said the figure reflects the strong enthusiasm of residents toward a technology-based recruitment system that efficiently connects job seekers with employers.

The governor, widely known as KDM, encouraged the business community to actively update their hiring data through the platform.

“Bu Ning, please ensure that companies remain active in updating their recruitment data so we can maintain valid information and monitor how many applicants have been successfully employed,” KDM said to APINDO West Java Chairperson, Ning Wahyu Astutik, during a meeting in Bandung on Thursday (October 16, 2025).

According to KDM, the “Nyari Gawe” platform is more than just a job listing site — it is part of West Java’s evolving employment ecosystem that adapts to industry needs.

He noted that many companies now require applicants to hold skills certifications in fields such as culinary arts, automotive, and accounting.

“This reflects that today’s labor market increasingly demands real competencies. The platform helps ensure that applicants possess the certifications required by employers,” KDM added.

Earlier, during a manpower coordination meeting in Purwakarta, KDM emphasized the importance of viewing job seekers as active participants in economic development, not merely as recipients of job opportunities.

“They are the owners of productivity. Job seekers are part of the industrial strength itself,” he remarked.

Meanwhile, APINDO West Java Chairperson Ning Wahyu Astutik reaffirmed the organization’s full support for the provincial government’s initiative.

“I will encourage all companies in West Java to actively use and update their data on the ‘Nyari Gawe’ platform. This is a concrete step toward creating a more efficient and transparent labor market,” Ning stated.

With continued data updates and stronger participation from the business sector, the “Nyari Gawe” application is expected to become an effective bridge between West Java’s human resource potential and the evolving needs of its industries.
