Central Sulawesi DPRD Chairman Welcomes Audience with Indonesian Employers Association

PALU – The Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) of Central Sulawesi Province welcomed a courtesy visit from the Indonesian Employers Association (Apindo) on Thursday (June 12). The meeting took place at the Central Sulawesi DPRD building and was received by DPRD Chairman Muhammad Arus Abdul Karim, accompanied by Deputy Chair of Commission II, Sonny Tandra.

The purpose of the visit was to foster synergy on a number of work programs, particularly in creating a more conducive business climate.

Apindo National Chairman, Wijaya Chandra, affirmed the organization’s commitment to serving as a strategic bridge between investors and the regional government of Central Sulawesi.

“We want Apindo to serve as an active partner in shaping a favorable investment climate. Feedback and challenges faced by entrepreneurs will be conveyed to local authorities to jointly seek solutions for the economic advancement of Central Sulawesi,” he stated.

“One of the sectors attracting investor attention is cattle farming, which still requires land support for expansion. In addition, we continue to promote other promising sectors such as aquaculture, agriculture, and plantation industries,” he added.

Wijaya Chandra also noted that Apindo had previously held an audience with Central Sulawesi Governor Anwar Hafid, which took place at the Governor’s Office and was attended by 24 investors from Beijing, China.

According to Wijaya Chandra, the provincial government has so far responded positively to the growing investment interest.

On this occasion, DPRD Chairman Muhammad Arus Abdul Karim affirmed that the DPRD would take in all the aspirations conveyed by Apindo and formulate recommendations to be discussed with the executive branch.

He highlighted the important role of Apindo in bridging key elements within the business ecosystem.

“What Apindo is doing is a concrete contribution to regional economic growth. Central Sulawesi DPRD greatly appreciates this and is ready to follow up on the input to be coordinated further with the provincial government and extended to regency and city levels,” he said.

Chairman Muhammad Arus Abdul Karim emphasized that the DPRD will continue to give full support to Apindo Central Sulawesi.

“The input from Apindo will receive our full attention and be acted upon in accordance with the duties and functions of the DPRD,” he concluded.
