Central Sulawesi Law Office and APINDO Intensify Promotion of Sole Proprietorship Companies for MSMEs

PALU — The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law in Central Sulawesi (Kanwil Kemenkum Sulteng) is stepping up efforts to improve ease of doing business by promoting Sole Proprietorship Companies (Perseroan Perorangan) to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).

The initiative was reinforced through a coordination meeting between Head of the Legal Services Division, I Putu Dharmayasa, and the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) of Central Sulawesi, chaired by Wijaya Chandra, held in Palu on Thursday (April 30, 2026).

During the meeting, APINDO was encouraged to help broaden public understanding of the benefits of Sole Proprietorship Companies as a legal entity that is simple, fast, and affordable for MSMEs.

Head of the Regional Office, Rakhmat Renaldy, stated that Sole Proprietorship Companies represent a key government innovation aimed at simplifying business legalization for the public.

“Sole Proprietorship Companies are designed to make it easier for MSME players to obtain legal certainty in running their businesses. With clear legal status, opportunities for business expansion will be significantly greater,” said Rakhmat Renaldy.

He explained that business legality is a crucial factor in supporting access to financing, business partnerships, and increasing consumer trust in MSME products.

For this reason, the Regional Office continues to intensify public education efforts to encourage more entrepreneurs to take advantage of the Sole Proprietorship Company framework.

According to Rakhmat Renaldy, APINDO’s support is vital in expanding the reach of this outreach across various business sectors in Central Sulawesi.

“Collaboration with APINDO will accelerate the improvement of public legal literacy, particularly regarding the importance of business legality for MSMEs,” he added.

In addition to discussing Sole Proprietorship Companies, the coordination also highlighted the importance of developing regional flagship products through Intellectual Property protection and strengthening local product marketing.

The Regional Office of the Ministry of Law in Central Sulawesi remains optimistic that its synergy with APINDO will further strengthen the growth of MSMEs that are robust, compliant, and highly competitive.

“We want to ensure that the public can more easily access legal services, enabling MSMEs in Central Sulawesi to grow in a more advanced and sustainable manner,” Rakhmat Renaldy concluded.
