Erwan Officially Leads APINDO Merauke, Emphasizes Local Inclusion

MERAUKE – Erwan, SP, MM has been officially appointed as the Chairman of the Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO) for Merauke Regency. In his remarks, Erwan expressed hope for strong cooperation and support from all board members during his leadership.

He also called for guidance from senior figures at the South Papua provincial level to ensure the organization runs optimally and in line with its goals.

“The tasks we carry out must align with the vision and mission of the organization. Especially now, as Merauke is becoming a focal point for National Strategic Projects (PSN), the role of APINDO becomes even more critical. We must demonstrate that APINDO is present and active in this region,” Erwan said following the inauguration of the Regional Executive Board of APINDO South Papua (covering Merauke, Boven Digoel, and Asmat) at Halogen Hotel on Saturday (June 28).

He emphasized that local entrepreneurs in South Papua should not be mere bystanders in the implementation of national strategic programs, but rather should be actively involved — particularly indigenous Papuan businesspeople.

“As the host region, it is only right that local entrepreneurs, especially native Papuans, are involved in these initiatives. We sincerely hope this message reaches the national chairman,” Erwan stated firmly.

He also expressed gratitude for the trust placed in him and his board to lead APINDO in the land of Anim Ha.

Erwan concluded by expressing his commitment to carrying out this mandate responsibly and contributing meaningfully to the development of beloved South Papua.
