APINDO East Java Lauds SPS as a Model for National Industry

SURABAYA – The East Java chapter of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (APINDO) has praised the achievements of national tissue producer SPS Corporate, recognizing the company as both a regional pride and a role model for Indonesia’s industrial sector. The commendation was delivered during the celebration of the company’s 30th anniversary.

APINDO East Java Chairman, Eddy Widjanarko, highlighted the company’s ability to consistently uphold high standards in factory management, covering aspects such as cleanliness, environmental practices, and production quality.

“We are proud of SPS here in East Java because its factory is managed exceptionally well—clean, professional, with strict attention to hygiene and waste management. This provides the company with strong competitiveness in the global market,” he said on Tuesday (September 9, 2025).

As part of the anniversary celebration, 10 Ambassadors and Ambassador-designates from various countries conducted a working visit to SPS’s production facilities. Delegates came from countries including Singapore, Japan, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Egypt, Yemen, Syria, North Korea, Slovakia, and Ecuador.

Indonesia’s Ambassador-designate to Vietnam, Adam Sugiyo, expressed admiration for the company’s modern and automated facilities. He emphasized that the visit also served to strengthen Indonesia’s economic diplomacy with global partners.

“This is proof that Indonesia is capable of producing world-class products. Our role in economic diplomacy is to help open the right markets for products like these,” Sugiyo stated.

SPS Corporate has already penetrated export markets in more than 80 countries. APINDO hopes the company’s success will inspire other industrial players in East Java to develop sustainable and globally competitive businesses.
